The rings of Saturn are clearly visble
with a reasonable TELESCOPE. Before the
american VOYAGER space craft flew past
Saturn it was supposed that there were only
a few rings now we know that it is has many
hundreds. The Greeks named it after one of
their gods, Cronus, whose Roman equivalent
was Saturn. Saturn's atmosphere is very
much like JUPITER. Saturns low density (less
than water) means that it would probably
float.
